the only way to control ibs is diet.
ibs is not cureable, so don’t bother with wasting body effort or your wallet with pills or meds.
all you can do, is eat what you can digest.
cut out all heavy, strong-flavoured or spicey foods.
eat mainly raw vegies and fruit and small amounts of meat and carbs.
if your ibs is real nasty, go on JUST raw salads and vegies and fruits for a week, then slowly add the meat and carbs.
best of luck man, i know it’s nasty as I’ve got it too.
If i get worked up, it plays up, so i have to keep a tab on my moods as well.
my doc suggested meds and anti-depressants (i’m not depressed). so i went to a naturopath and they said try the diet.
i went on the diet in 2001 and am still in control of my ibs.
xx
for the most part I agree with the answer above about eating raw salads. I do want to add that drinking ALOT of water and very little caffeine will also help. I also find jogging regularly gives me a lot of relief.
stress is a major contributor for ibs. You could try meditation/hypnosis techniques for this.

I agree with what was said above, plus ginger, Acidophilus, Garden of Life “perfect food”, and digestive enzymes.
Make sure the enzymes are vegetarian based.
Georges aloe Vera cleans pockets in intestines takes 2 to 3 weeks to work all the way. also fiber made from seeds not husks is very good.Garden of life is what I use.Called super seed. You can look both up on web.www.georgesaloe.com&www.gardenoflife.com. Try it you will love the results.Do both twice a day.Double the aloe accounding to the directions.
You can order a complete colon cleansing kit from this family run online shop
Also, skip the dairy. It’s AWFUL for you! Check out
I absolutely agree with the first two answers and I second everything they said. Also, I’d add that you likely need to cut dairy out of your diet.
When I did that, my problems with IBS settled down significantly. Mood still does affect it and probably always will, but not nearly to the degree it used to.
However, be warned, when you do cut dairy completely out of your diet and then decide that you just have to have an ice cream cone, you will regret it for days!
