Yikes….. A vegetarian with IBS is like being a lactose-intolerant cow…. avoid broccoli & cauiflower for sure.

Avoid fake sugar, msg, dairy, meat t(his includes sea animals), eggs, carbonated beverages, certain gassy veggies , honey, bran, whole wheat , rye whole grain flours.

I follow the diet on http://www.helpforibs.com
    vegan style.

I ‘ve had IBS for years and avoid this stuff works wonders.

    Good luck.

Not true AT ALL, Miss Sunshine. Respectfully.

I’m a gluten-free, sugar-free vegan, and it has done nothing but HELP my IBS.

Remember that it’s the kind of IBS that you have that denotes what kind of diet you should follow. IBS – D vegetarians should eat more soluble fiber than insoluble fiber. IBS – C should eat tons of both.

That’s what I’ve read in IBS books and my own personal experience.

In the beginning of changing our diets, all fiber makes us feel bloated and shitty. But the more you take it, the more your guts expand and get clean and get used to it. There’s always an adjustment period.
