I do that too. I thknk it’s when you have a lot of number 2 coming out and it just makes you bleed. i don’t really know… What is IBS? I’ve never heard of it.

It can be, if you are straining too hard. just relax and let your body do its thing.
Don’t worry about a little spotting from the rectum it is ok.
If you find blood in your undies and it seems like a lot, I suggest that you go to your doc.

No more than likely it’s hemoroids, or colitis. My husband has crone’s disease and colitis, he had this problem until he got medication to control these symptons.

If it’s just a small amount of blood, it’s more likely to be hemorrhoids.

Yes it can happen from IBS. BUT it is far more likely to be a symptom of Celiac Disease. People with Celiac Disease are VERY frequently misdiagnosed with IBS first. Celiac disease (cd) is an autoimmune disease in which the person cannot digest gluten, a protein in wheat, rye and barley. Once a person is diagnosed and goes on the gluten free diet (with doc’s supervision) symptoms dissappear very soon. It takes time for the damage to the intestines to heal, but in time it does.
Bleeding can also signify other things and is NEVER normal. Maybe it is just hemrroids but it should be discussed with a GI doc. If you’d like more info on CD, please see the links I psot below.
    Best of luck
