I have had a diagnosis of Cronhs disease for the last 10 or so years, recently at a Dr appt I asked my Dr if i should be able to eat trigger foods when in remission, or something to that affect… his response was that i should be able to eat my trigger foods when in remission and that if i cant its probably another problem… and he left it there…i havent been able to eat raw vegetables throughout my entire life without negative repercussion. im in the process of finding a new Dr…
but was wondering does anyone here have Cronhs or UC as well as IBS?

Hi Rebe — I’ve also got IBS but not IBD so I’m not sure if I can help but I’ll try. I know some of my trigger foods (and am still trying to figure out others) and unless I’m in the comfort of my home, I will not touch them.
For example garlic is one and I love garlic bread but always have to turn it down when offered. If I’m home alone once in a while I’ll bake some for dinner just to enjoy (but later pay for on the toilet). It’s worth it occasionally for me though.
That’s probably the best idea to get a second opinion and try another doctor. Trial and error is a hard way to find a good doctor so I usually ask a friend or lookup a well rated doctor here
